All companies keep their past through tangible and intangible, and the files are an essential part to realize that past. In the case of industrial file documents, they represent an important part of the collective memory of a particular community and we must not forget that even constitute anchors for the conservation of other industrial heritage sites.
While it is true that through the Industrial Archaeology can reconstruct histories through industrial files the same stories we know more precisely. This is because the documents are not subjective discourse constructed a posteriori, but authentic witnesses of the past. Therefore it is important to share our rescue work, cataloging and research of the Eco-Historical Archive of the Urban Community of Metepec-The Lion-San Mateo (AHECUML) as a file is relevant to the story not only national but international. No doubt this file is the basis for the rescue, research, conservation and the testimony of the authenticity of industrial heritage in Mexico.
The Eco-museum aims to study, preserve and promote the industrial heritage, cultural and natural Valle de Atlixco. Now has the Research and Documentation Centre of Industrial Heritage, located in the former factory Metepec, Atlixco, in Puebla state in Mexico.
