107 years of electric tram in Peru

107 years have passed since the February 17, 1904 was installed in the Railway electric traction Lima - Chorrillos, making it the first line of electric transportation in Lima. This was followed by the power line to the railway Lima - Callao and later to Lima urban trams, until October 1965, all streetcar lines in our city were cleared by a government law.

Today, unlike many countries that have maintained, enabled or put back into operation the electrical transport, our country just starting the challenge of providing a service and clean, tidy and modern and postponed making a commitment to our city.

Today, the only historical evidence of these trams at Encompasses the Electric Tram Museum of Electricity, which is a former "townie", marks Breda, restored by the Museum and which runs along the Avenida Pedro de Osma from Tuesday to Sunday.
